Last one before the weekend! And before we get started, have a special HAPPY EASTER this weekend! (:

Alright, timers set and let’s write! & then we will meet back here again on Monday! (;

You realize that you have fallen out of love with your new wife on your honeymoon.

My example :

Jaden groggily opened the curtains in the hotel room. It was the morning after their wedding and his head was pounding from the one-too-many drinks he had last night. He crept around the room, trying not to wake his new wife, Chloe. He stopped in his tracks at the sound of her voice.

“Good morning, husband,” Chloe croaked out.

Jaden winced at the sound of being called husband. He faked a smile. “Good morning. How’d you sleep last night?” He needed to find medicine for his raging headache soon.

“Good of course. Today is the first day of our new life.” She stretched and climbed out of bed, heading toward him to embrace him in a tight hug.

Chloe’s arms were thrown around his neck and his body tensed. His stomach coiled at the thought of spending the rest of his life with someone he barely knew.

Last night, he was swooped up in the hype of it all – Vegas baby – and he felt the instant chemistry with Chloe. Love was in the air as the drinks persuaded him it was love at first sight. They had a magical time together and ended it with tying the knot at an Elvis chapel that sealed his fate. It was hardly fair.

No-one should be allowed to get married in Vegas if they only just met. But then again, they pretended they had been engaged for years. It actually was fair, it was what he deserved for lying. Only now he was going to pay the price for such a stupid decision he had made under the influence.

Working up the courage to ask, he decided to just blurt it out. “Hey, do you think that the marriage license we received is real?” He half-smiled.

She brightened at the thought and kissed his cheek before whispering the answer in his ear. “It’s as real as our love for each other Jaden.” She stood back and took in the sight of him, which couldn’t have been very pleasant if he looked half as bad as how he felt. “Of course it’s real silly.” Her smiled faded as she added, “You aren’t regretting it are you? Oh my God, I’m so stupid. You were drunk.” She paced the floor. “You do regret it, don’t you. I’m such a fool.”

Jaden watched as her eyes swelled with tears. What can he say, he’s a true gentleman and she pulled at his heart strings. He put his feelings aside and walked over to comfort her. “No, no. I didn’t say that. But we did just marry each other without knowing a real thing about one another. We were both pretty wasted.” He chewed on his bottom lip. “Do you regret it?”

Chloe swiped a tear away and looked him directly in the eye. “Not at all. But I’m sure we can do something to reverse it. People probably do this all the time. Last night, it was the best night in my entire life. I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I found you. But…” Her words trailed off.

He stood there, waiting for more. The silence swallowing him up. He didn’t know what to do and then she finally spoke again.

“I would never force you to stay married to me if last night wasn’t real. Save me the heartache if this is isn’t what you want.”

The look he gave her was one he couldn’t resist. As much as he was royally screwed right now, he couldn’t stand to hurt her feelings. He swallowed, “It was real. I am in this with you. Should we go get some breakfast?”

Chloe beamed and grabbed his hand. “Let me go get ready.” She kissed his hand and disappeared into the bathroom.

Jaden wasn’t sure if he felt like throwing up from the hangover or from the regret of what he just said. He wasn’t sure what he was going to do but for now, he was going to play the part.

He laughed at the thought of What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

This couldn’t be further from the truth for him.

Haha, that would suck. But who knows, maybe he really falls for her and they live happily ever after! Maybe this is one of those things that happened for a reason. OR it could be the complete opposite. And he’s gonna have to find a way out of this before the marriage is permanent. It would be one funny story to tell the grandchildren if they did survive this marriage! Lol!

How’d you do pals?!
